Not every vehicle sits on the main lot. Part of our stock is kept at holding lots close by, so telling us which one you want to see lets us have it ready before you arrive. Coming without notice is fine as well, it usually takes about ten minutes to bring one down.

Start with how much truck the week calls for. A half ton carries and pulls what most households will ever ask, with room and ride enough to be the only vehicle in the drive. A mid size does the lighter version of the same job, parks more easily and asks less at the pump. Towing is where it gets specific, because capability is set at the factory, not by the model name. The hitch and wiring, the axle gearing and the cooling that comes with a tow package decide the rating, so two trucks of the same year can differ. Two wheel drive and four wheel drive are a choice rather than a ladder. A two wheel drive truck is lighter and simpler, and on blacktop and a packed drive it is the truck to buy, not the compromise. Four wheel drive is the answer when the ground turns soft or the drive climbs. Less than people expect, and less than it would be on a car. A truck is built with more margin in the frame, the drivetrain and the cooling, and highway miles pulling inside the rating are the miles the vehicle was engineered to cover. Mileage is one figure among several. The year, the configuration and how the truck was specified tell you more about what you are buying than the odometer does on its own.
A crew cab with a short bed, most of the time. The rear doors are full size rather than the half doors an extended cab uses, the back seat takes car seats and grown adults without argument, and the bed is still long enough for mulch, a mower or a weekend load. It is a family vehicle that happens to have a bed on the back. A long bed earns its length if you regularly carry something eight feet long, and an extended cab suits a driver who wants covered space behind the seats more than a second row of passengers.
