Infiniti cabins were properly developed rather than reupholstered: real wood and aluminum, leather with grain to it, seats that heat and cool, and features that reached Infiniti years ahead of the mainstream. The around view camera system that shows a car from above arrived on an Infiniti for the 2008 model year, and it was several years before that idea became common.
For a used buyer the effect is about content. A well equipped Infiniti puts the seats, the quiet, the switchgear and the feature list of a genuine luxury car a long way down the age curve, and the mass market engineering underneath is the reason such a car is attainable at all. Very little else delivers that much equipment for its age.
